Rick O’Neal is a resident of Pomfret Connecticut, but grew up on Cape Cod Massachusetts. He has a degree is business, and is finishing a B.A. in Music/Composition at Eastern Connecticut State University-slated to graduate Spring 2012. Rick is a musician/bass player, and books, manages and performs regularly with his two groups; The “Delta Generators” ( a blues based band from Boston Ma.) and “ONeal Armstrong” (an instrumental jazz/funk/jam/fusion band based on the south shore of Boston, Ma.)
Rick also has experience in the music business field, first working for Cakewalk Music Software ( a software company that makes the most popular PC based MIDI and digital audio recording software) and later working for Nimbit Inc. (a company that builds online tools for independent artists, managers and labels, allowing them to sell digital and physical goods directly to their fans).
As manager, and career music business person, Rick keeps up on the trends of today’s music business. Catch his show “Music Now” every Wednesday (Summer 2011) from 2-3 P.M. (Eastern Time) on WHUS 91.7 F.M. Storrs CT., covering the music industry, and talking to guests (both artists and music industry members) about their view of today’s every changing music industry.
Being a musician, Rick is also interested in many styles, and forms of music. Catch his radio show “Beg Scream and Shout” from 3-5 P.M. Every Wednesday on WHUS 91.7 F.M. Storrs, CT.. The show plays deeps cuts and popular favorites of the best of 60’s and 70’s Funk, Soul and early Rock n Roll.
